On the Pocklington canal...

This canal, which once connected Pocklington in East Yorkshire with the River Derwent, has largely been restored to provide a valuable wildlife habitat. It was good to see a pair of swans 'in the wild'  rather than the one I saw being fed fish and chips in Whitby or the many clamouring to be fed by willing families in Kensington Gardens.
